Our First NOW7 Business Forum!

On Thursday, December 7th, 2023, a significant event unfolded in the heart of Oakville as the North Oakville Ward 7 (NOW7) Residents' Association proudly hosted its first-ever NOW7 Business Forum. This remarkable gathering turned the spotlight on the entrepreneurial spirit not just within Ward 7, but across the entire Town of

Oakville, showcasing the diverse and vibrant business community we have.

The forum was a buzzing hive of activity with over 40 vendors setting up their displays. It wasn't just about business; it was a community celebration that saw more than 300 local residents joining in. The air was filled with a sense of community and collaboration, highlighting the strength and unity of Oakville's business and residential sectors.

We were incredibly fortunate to have the support of Paybilt as our sponsor. Their innovative payment platform has revolutionized the way local transactions are carried out, making it easier than ever to use popular Canadian payment methods. Paybilt's commitment to bringing alternative payments into the mainstream is not only commendable but also aligns perfectly with the spirit of innovation and progress that the forum aimed to highlight.

The success of this event could not have been achieved without the meticulous planning and hosting by NOW7 and our volunteers, Regional Councillor Nav Nanda, and Town Councillor Scott Xie. Their dedication and hard work in bringing this event to life played a pivotal role in its success.

Adding to the forum's prestige, we had the honour of welcoming guest speakers including MPP Effie Triantafilopoulos, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, Member of the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs, and MPP Nina Tangri, the Associate Minister of Small Business. Their insights and perspectives added immense value to the discussions, providing attendees with a broader understanding of the provincial landscape of business and entrepreneurship.

As we reflect on this successful event, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, attended, and supported our local entrepreneurs and business ventures. Your involvement is a testament to the strength and resilience of our community.

We encourage everyone to stay connected and informed about future events and initiatives by subscribing to our newsletter at Also, follow us on Instagram @ for regular updates and highlights from our community.

Together, we are forging a path towards a more prosperous and interconnected Oakville, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for our business community.

Respectfully, Ron Chhinzer President of the North Oakville Ward 7 Residents' Association
